About VesselFront

Built from inside the industry, alongside the people who sail the ships.

VesselFront is the routing infrastructure layer for commercial shipping — neurosymbolic AI that combines learned patterns from millions of nautical miles with the hard constraints of physics, regulation, and vessel limits. Founded in Piraeus by maritime professionals, researchers, and operators.

Our mission

Deliver the world's highest accuracy level in predictive routing, and become the foundational AI model for commercial shipping.

We do not sell a routing tool. We build the infrastructure layer that other maritime services — banking, insurance, port logistics, emissions reporting — increasingly run on top of. The route is the most valuable line in the world; we make it trustworthy.

How we work

Four principles, no exceptions

Route is the foundation

Every maritime decision starts with the route. Make the route trustworthy and everything built on top of it inherits that trust.

Explainable by default

No black boxes. Every recommendation carries its citation chain back to weather sources, vessel particulars, and prior performance.

Built from inside the industry

Third-generation maritime professionals, complex-event recognition researchers, and operators with real bridge-time. We build for our own community.

Auditable end to end

From AIS ingest to bridge decision, the whole stack is traceable. Built so a regulator, an underwriter, or a charter party can verify what happened.

Milestones

2026 — the year we became infrastructure

2026 Q1

Bureau Veritas SMART Certification

EnE3-Em-W certified — the first formal recognition of the engine as a maritime infrastructure layer.

2026 Q2

VFWR validation study

100 historical voyages re-routed and verified. The methodology paper enters peer review at the University of Piraeus.

2026 Q3

European Space Agency partnership

ESA-validated weather data integrated into the routing pipeline.

2026 Q3

USPTO patent-pending

The neurosymbolic routing core enters patent examination.

2026 Sep

SOME Conference, Athens

Fuel-consumption prediction model presented to the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers.

2026 Q4

Closed beta, rolling admissions

First Greek-flag fleets enter production. Trial voyages free; admission gated by fleet profile.
